Welcome to a special highlight of my journey – my TEDx Swansea talk held on November 3, 2017. Titled “Growing Hope for Warrior Women,” this talk was a profound opportunity for me to bring to light issues that deeply affect women and to share my personal journey of trauma, recovery, and empowerment.
Participating in TEDx Swansea was a milestone that allowed me to join a global community dedicated to spreading powerful ideas. The theme of my talk, “Growing Hope for Warrior Women,” was a call to acknowledge and address the challenges and injustices faced by women, particularly in the areas of trauma recovery and female genital mutilation (FGM).
My talk at TEDx Swansea was a blend of personal narrative and advocacy. The key themes I covered included:
The response to my TEDx talk was overwhelming and deeply humbling. It affirmed my belief in the power of sharing our stories and the need for continued dialogue on these critical issues. The talk sparked conversations, inspired change, and connected me with individuals and organisations committed to making a difference.
I invite you to watch the full talk and join me in this important conversation. Let’s continue to spread awareness, challenge stigma, and empower every woman to be a warrior of her own story.
Your thoughts and engagements are invaluable. Please share your reflections, and let’s keep this crucial dialogue going. Together, we can bring about positive change.
