Trauma Regulation Method (TRM)

Freedom From Within... A gentle, trauma-informed somatic regulation practice created for those living with trauma, stress, or emotional overwhelm. TRM is not yoga and not fitness — it is a guided space to reconnect with your body and nervous system through movement, breath, stillness, and gentle self-touch.

What TRM Supports

•  Greater connection to the body, breath, and present moment
•  Guided self-touch practices, including facial release and reflexology points to support calming and regulation
•  A deeper sense of groundedness, self-awareness, and internal steadiness

Certain sessions may include a focused exploration of facial self-massage and reflexology points around the face and ears — not for aesthetics, but to support nervous system calming and emotional release.

Who It’s For

TRM is designed for women navigating trauma, abuse, chronic stress, or emotional overwhelm — particularly those who feel disconnected from their bodies or carry persistent internal tension.

It offers a grounded, trauma-informed regulation practice for anyone seeking a softer, body-led approach to healing. There is no performance, no pressure, and no expectation — just a supportive space to reconnect with your nervous system at your own pace.

For those who find yoga or fitness-based methods too activating or demanding, TRM provides a gentler, more contained alternative rooted in safety, choice, and embodied awareness.

Sessions are held online and follow a rotating thematic cycle — allowing both new and returning participants to enter at any point while experiencing a full-body regulation journey over time.

Session Details

The TRM Session Cycle

TRM runs in a continuous 5-session rotation.
Each session has a specific focus, and after Session 5, the cycle begins again at Session 1.

You are welcome to attend any session — there is no starting point required.

Over time, regular attendance supports whole-body regulation, integration, and deeper nervous system stability.

What to Expect in Every Session

Each 45-50 minute online session includes:

• Grounding and arrival
• Guided somatic regulation practice
• Guided facial or lymphatic self-touch (depending on theme)
• Gentle journalling for integration
• A trauma-informed, choice-led space

There is no performance and no pressure.
You may move, rest, or simply observe.

Session Focus

Session 1: Jaw, Face & Unsaid Words

Focus: freeze response, tension, unsaid emotion

This session supports release of stress held in the jaw, face, neck, and throat.
We explore gentle facial self-touch, breath-led softening, and sound release to support expression and nervous system calming.

Includes:

  • Jaw and facial release

  • Neck and shoulder softening

  • Optional humming or sighing

  • Guided journalling on expression and internal holding

Session 2: Womb, Hips & Emotional Memory

Focus: pelvic safety, shame softening, emotional reconnection

This session brings awareness to the lower belly, womb space, and hips — areas where emotional memory and disconnection are often stored.

Includes:

  • Seated hip openers and pelvic rocking

  • Gentle forward folds and twists

  • Breath into the lower body

  • Journalling for emotional integration

Session 3: Chest, Breath & Grief

Focus: heart space, vulnerability, compassion

This session supports grief, guardedness, and emotional constriction in the chest and ribcage.

Includes:

  • Self-holding and rocking

  • Open-and-close arm movements

  • Breath-led chest expansion

  • Reflection on grief and compassion

Session 4: Face, Eyes & Nervous System Settling

Focus: hypervigilance, scanning, shutdown recovery

This session is deeply regulating and ideal for overwhelm or exhaustion.

Includes:

  • Eye softening and orientation

  • Brow, scalp, and temple release

  • Gentle lymphatic strokes to neck and collarbones

  • Journalling on safety and settling

Session 5: Lymph, Legs & Grounding

Focus: boundaries, stability, integration

This session supports grounding and reduces emotional hangover after deeper work.

Includes:

  • Leg activation and foot grounding

  • Boundary-setting movements

  • Gentle lymphatic support

  • Reflection on personal boundaries and support

After Session 5, the cycle returns to Session 1.

Between Sessions: TRM Regulation Toolkit (Online)

For continued support, the TRM Regulation Toolkit offers short, self-paced recordings you can use anytime:

• Facial & jaw release (20 mins)
• Lymphatic calming for overwhelm (15 mins)
• Ear self-massage for anxiety & sleep (10 mins)
• TRM grounding sequence (20 mins)

Available with lifetime access.

BeyondTrauma™ Recovery Programme

A 7-week, psychoeducational healing programme that helps survivors understand trauma, regulate emotions, and build practical coping strategies — without revisiting painful memories.
Created by Mayameen Meftahi BEM, this short-term, solution-focused intervention offers a safe and structured pathway to recovery and emotional stability.

Participants receive an ACCPH-validated Certificate of Completion (15 CPD points).

Youth Trauma Intervention

A trauma-informed, skills-based adaptation of the BeyondTrauma™ programme, helping young people understand their emotions, build coping skills, and stabilise overwhelm.
Sessions are practical, structured, and accessible — especially for teens navigating trauma, ASD/ADHD, emotional dysregulation, or school disengagement.

Duration: 6 weeks
Delivery: In-person at my therapy space or onsite in schools/colleges (by request)
