Created and authored by Mayameen Meftahi BEM, this qualification demonstrates that you have successfully completed comprehensive training in trauma-informed facilitation, client safety, ethical practice and the licensed BeyondTrauma™ methodology.

Your diploma provides professional recognition within an unregulated sector, giving clients, organisations and employers confidence in your knowledge, competence and commitment to safe, trauma-informed practice.

As a graduate, you may also choose to apply for fast-tracked ACCPH Professional Membership to further strengthen your professional profile. Membership is optional, and your accredited qualification remains fully recognised whether you choose to join or not.

Yes. Your Level 4 Diploma is awarded permanently and remains yours for life.

As a Licensed BeyondTrauma™ Facilitator, you’ll continue to have access to the online training portal, facilitator resources, curriculum updates and your BTAN Gold Membership for as long as your Facilitator Licence remains active.

If you choose to end your Facilitator Licence, your access to the online training portal, BTAN Gold Membership, professional resources and licensed materials will close. However, your accredited Level 4 Diploma remains valid permanently, and you may continue to reference your qualification on your CV and professional history.

Should you wish to return in the future, you can apply to reactivate your Facilitator Licence, subject to the licensing requirements in place at that time.

Yes. Once you have successfully completed the diploma and activated your BeyondTrauma™ Facilitator Licence, you are authorised to deliver the official BeyondTrauma™ Recovery Programme within your own private practice, organisation or community setting.

As a Licensed BeyondTrauma™ Facilitator, you can:

✔ Deliver the programme in one-to-one or group settings.

✔ Access ongoing professional resources, updates and support through BTAN Gold Membership.

To protect the integrity of the BeyondTrauma™ Modality, facilitators must deliver the programme in accordance with the Facilitator Licence Agreement and provide appropriate attribution to Mayameen Meftahi BEM and BeyondTrauma Academy CIC where required.

BeyondTrauma Academy CIC retains responsibility for the programme’s intellectual property, governance, quality assurance, national development and funding relationships, ensuring the programme remains consistent, ethical and professionally governed wherever it is delivered.

The BeyondTrauma™ Recovery Programme is a survivor-led, professionally developed methodology created by Mayameen Meftahi BEM and governed by BeyondTrauma Academy CIC.

Like many recognised professional modalities, it is protected to ensure it continues to be delivered safely, ethically and consistently, wherever it is used.

If your Facilitator Licence is cancelled or becomes inactive, your Level 4 Diploma remains permanently valid, but your Licensed Facilitator status, BTAN membership and access to licensed resources and benefits will end until your licence is reactivated.

Yes. As a Licensed BeyondTrauma™ Facilitator, you are authorised to use and guide clients through the exercises, reflections and psychoeducational content within the BeyondTrauma™ Workbook as part of your programme delivery.

However, each participant must have their own legitimate copy of the workbook.

The workbook is available in both printed and digital PDF formats and can be purchased directly from BeyondTrauma Academy CIC (currently fulfilled via the Mayameen Meftahi website). Facilitators may also purchase multiple copies to provide to clients as part of their programme or service.

The workbook is protected by copyright and is licensed for use—not reproduction. It must not be copied, shared, emailed or redistributed in digital or printed form without the written permission of BeyondTrauma Academy CIC.

Yes. As a Licensed BeyondTrauma™ Facilitator, you are authorised to use the BeyondTrauma™ Recovery Programme, methodology, psychoeducation and professional resources under licence from BeyondTrauma Academy CIC.

When referencing or teaching concepts, tools or resources developed through the BeyondTrauma™ Modality, appropriate attribution should always be provided.

This includes areas such as:

• Subjective Units of Distress (SUDs)
• Anger Management
• Emotional Numbing
• Safety, Avoidance & Coping Mechanisms
• Trauma Psychoeducation
• Grounding and Regulation Techniques
• Workbook content and reflective exercises

A simple acknowledgement is all that’s required, for example:

Providing appropriate attribution reflects professional integrity, respects intellectual property and acknowledges the survivor-led origins of the methodology. It also helps maintain consistency and trust across the BeyondTrauma™ facilitator network.

Failure to comply with the Facilitator Licence Agreement, including the appropriate attribution of the BeyondTrauma™ Modality, may result in the suspension or termination of your Facilitator Licence and BTAN Membership.

Yes. Upon successfully completing the BeyondTrauma™ Facilitator Diploma, you may choose to apply for fast-tracked professional membership with the Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists (ACCPH).

Membership is entirely optional, but it can further strengthen your professional profile by:

• Coaches, facilitators, trainers, community practitioners and wellbeing professionals should ensure they have suitable insurance that covers the activities they intend to undertake.

As a Licensed BeyondTrauma™ Facilitator, you are responsible for ensuring your insurance accurately reflects your qualifications, scope of practice and the services you offer.

Many facilitators choose providers such as PolicyBee, which offers insurance for freelancers, sole traders and limited companies. However, you are free to choose any insurer that provides appropriate cover for your professional activities.

Holding a BeyondTrauma™ Facilitator Licence does not replace your responsibility to obtain appropriate insurance or comply with any legal, regulatory or professional requirements relevant to your own practice.

No. You do not need to be registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or already be a qualified therapist to enrol on the BeyondTrauma™ Facilitator Diploma.

The BeyondTrauma™ Facilitator Diploma is a psychoeducational qualification, not a clinical counselling or psychotherapy qualification. CPD (Continuing Professional Development) is designed to help professionals develop or update their knowledge and skills through shorter courses, workshops and specialist training.

Our CPD-validated courses are independently reviewed by ACCPH to ensure they meet high standards of educational quality. Participants receive a Certificate of Attendance together with the relevant CPD hours or credits awarded for that training.
